Tour through the aisles

Merriam-Webster was displaying their upgrade for your word processor's internal word dictionary. Now you won't have to keep adding Internet-related buzzwords into your personal dictionary. Works with all released 32-bit versions of Word and it will manually install in Word 6.0.

Quark was demonstrating their corporate e-book technology at the show

Sanyo was discussing their CD replication capabilities in Indiana. Most notable was their new GOLD CD technology -- they can make mass-produced CD-ROMs using real gold instead of aluminum. It costs more, but the look of the CD is stunning.

One of the most novel GPS applications I have ever seen. Instead of simply showing the road as an aerial view like a conventional paper map, DeLorme's software displays the route in 3D. This is especially useful in mountainous regions, because that short line on the road map that looks easy, might have a huge vertical component as well.
