Symbol Technologies demonstrated their new Captra software on the ruggedized Symbol PPT 2800 PDA.
Captra helps small businesses to increase their productivity by providing the capability to run their businesses from the palm of their hand. This is achieved by integrating the power of QuickBooks Pro 2002 and Symbol bar coding technology with a mobile PDA. Captra is available for both the Palm OS and Pocket PC devices. With Captra you can:

all without using paper, in the palm of your hand.
The Symbol PPT 2800 (above) is a portable pen terminal and provides the capability of a Pocket PC in an extremely robust package. It will survive a 4 foot drop on concrete without breaking! Based on the 206 Mhz Intel StrongARM SA 1110 processor, the PPT 2800 is available with either 32 or 64 megabytes of RAM. The color screen is 1/4 VGA (320x240) in size. A similar ruggedized PDA that runs Palm OS (SPT 1800) is also available from Symbol Technologies.
