Foveon digital camera
While I didn't run this $27,000 digital camera/laptop combination through its paces, I feel that it should be able to remove the "surprise" aspect of digital photography -- when you think you did everything right and the image looks great in the tiny display, only to find a different problem when you open the file on a larger monitor, in Photoshop. By viewing the image on a huge laptop screen (relative to any digital viewfinder), these problems can be easily eliminated, simply by making adjustments and reshooting the picture again.
