A Powerful Web Tool

Web projects generally require several people to collaborate. In the past this has been problematic because different software tools tended to "step on" the results of the previous package. There were several "workarounds", but they weren't simple and became a source of errors.
Fireworks 4 follows a logical workflow. A graphic designer creates a graphical page and "slices it" for optimal downloading and "rollover" effects. It is then sent to a developer, who can edit this table in Dreamweaver and add custom code. The important benefit occurs when that developer passes the file back to the graphic designer. The graphics that were created can STILL be edited, without overwriting the custom code added by the developer. This eliminates the need for having to check differences and "cutting and pasting" in those changes and trying to find out what "became lost" in the transfer process. There is only one "current" version with all the graphics AND the code.
