When an HTML page is created automatically from most programs it generally isn't in the format you want. With Fireworks 4, you can choose from a generic, Dreamweaver, Go Live, FrontPage or custom format. One of my gripes with Photoshop 5.5 is that you are stuck with an ".HTML" extension instead of the ".HTM" that I prefer. Fireworks 4 goes beyond that and you can choose any case version of .HTML or .HTM, as well as .asp, .jsp, .php, .shmtl or anything else you want. Filenames can also be forced to lower case to eliminate another source of problems, when using Unix servers. Slices can be named in a similar fashion as Adobe's ImageReady. Each element name can include items such as the master document name, slice number or column number, along with a whole host of separators.
There are lots of places that problems can occur in projects and it's nice to see that Macromedia has removed another one.
