Bantam Interactive - BA800
by Stephen Jones (November 20, 2002)

The BA800 from Bantam Interactive
is a versatile digital audio player with a
colorful personality combined with a portable image
viewer that lets you show off yours.
The personality
comes from multicolor LEDs behind each curved,
translucent side panel. These LEDs can be set to any
one of 256 possible color shades to suit your
mood, or automatically cycle through all colors for a
disco-in-your-pocket ambience. More useful, perhaps,
is the unique ability to download and show off
your digital images in TIFF, JPEG, GIF or BMP
format.
All flash and dazzle aside,
the unit is no slouch as a digital audio player since it features
a built-in equalizer and the useful ability to
convert MP3 files on-the-fly to the more compact WMA
format.
