Trogon Computer announced one of the first 266 MHz (Tillamook) notebook computers built to meet the PC97 specification. With a 13.3" 18-bit TFT XGA LCD display (14.1" TFT optional), 32 Mbytes of RAM (expandable to 256 Mbytes), 20x CD-ROM and a 5 gigabyte hard drive. It is downward compatible to a socket 7 CPU for lower cost. It includes an IEEE 1394 port, 2 USB ports, an Intel 430TX chipset, ACPI compliance, Lithium-Ion battery, Trident 9397 chipset, ESS Maestro-2 sound chip, Video in Port and TV-out S-connector port. The smart bay can support a second battery, DVD drive, Zip drive or a second hard disk drive. Unit weighs 7.2 pounds with battery. I saw this unit at Comdex. Wow!!! The screen was HUGE!! As it comes into production, it will be great product to look at.
