Enroute Imaging announces that they will be bundling QuickStitch 360 with the Hakuba USA's VR Kit for only $239 MSRP. The QuickStitch 360 software automatically balances exposure and stitches overlapping images together into high quality, Virtual Reality-like panoramas. Technical users can also make manual adjustments for brightness, contrast and overlap points for greater image control. Output can be a single graphics file or a QuickTime VR movie, where you can "pan" around the scene and zoom in for finer detail. The Hakuba Videomate 507 tripod, with VR Head and Macro Slider assists in a confined environment by allowing each individual picture to be taken from the same physical "point" in space. This allows the pictures to be processed into better 360° panoramas faster, with higher quality and less cropping since the camera is more accurately centered on the tripod. This kit includes a carrying case, and is available for $199, without the tripod. Hakuba's VR Head sells for $159.99. Available at selected photo chains and from Enroute immediately. This looks like a great way to make panoramas quickly and easily.
