Kiss Software Corporation announced plans to ship the latest 4.0 version of Modem Wizard which includes all new 32 bit technology. This version will now be able to test any type of analog or digital Internet connection including modem, ISDN, cable or T1 and through any ISP including AOL and AtHome. The Net Monitor feature allows users to easily examine the scattered Windows dialup configuration, modem, port and other information from a single place for quick reference. The program can also diagnose and optimize Internet connection problems and perform an exhaustive check of your modem. If trouble is found, step by step instructions are given on how to fix the problem. With TrueSpeed technology, Modem Wizard can precisely determine your true Internet speed. Fast-IP, also included, allows users to directly access Web sites without using standard DNS lookup, resulting in a faster Web site connection. Program runs on a PC with 95/98/NT and cost is $39.95. This looks to be a useful diagnostic aid to check and setup your new 56K modem and also get faster Web performance
