Not getting the response you want from e-mail?

nanoCom's iSpQ Intercomm software makes sure your voice is heard and your face is seen by your office buddy list.

Adding audio and video to instant messaging, iSpQ Intercomm allows point-to-point and group conversations over the office LAN or over the Internet.

iSpQ uses its own TCP/IP protocol and works on Windows, Linux, and MacOS machines so everyone can join in. Soon, anyone with a Web browser or Palm VII will be able to participate.

Using iSpQ's integrated status display, you can see who's connected and strike up a conversation or, if the other person is off-line, leave a voice message.

Another neat feature is full-duplex audio. That is, if you're in a one-to-one conversation, both parties can talk simultaneously, meaning conversations are much more natural than the usual talk...stop...wait hesitation of other voice applications.

For now, the client software and use of the public nanoCom chat server is free. But, for really private conversations you'd likely want to install your own local chat server starting at about $700 for 100 users.
