RasterMaster for Java 5.0 SDK
by Rick Smith (July 20, 2001)

Viewing digital images and engineering drawings on the Web is becoming more essential to business operations. Unfortunately, without using plug-ins, most browsers can only handle a few different graphics formats. When formats change over time, all the plug-ins then have to be upgraded on every computer in the company. Snowbound software has created the RasterMaster 5.0 development toolkit to help alleviate this problem.
Since the RasterMaster toolkit is created in 100% Java, the correct viewer for the desired image is quickly downloaded when the image format needs to be viewed. No more viewer plug-in installations! If your needs go beyond simple document viewing, this toolkit also supports partial zooming (magifying glass) and annotation capabilities. Now all your images can be seen all over your enterprise or extranet, the same way, no matter what platform or operating system you are using. The promise of Java finally realized!
The RasterMaster for Java 5.0 software development kit also:
supports over 70 raster image formats such as TIFF, BMP, PCD (PhotoCD), PICT (Mac Picture) and PSD (Photoshop)
supports document formats such as PDF (Adobe Acrobat) and Group 3/4 data (Fax format)
can be used to develop your own applets, servlets or applications
includes over 100 raster image manipulation functions such as resizing, anti-aliasing images, file conversion, deskewing and despeckling
features the ability to annotation and redline documents
RasterMaster 5.0 for Java is currently available and starts at $2,495.00 for the toolkit. To deploy applications created from the toolkit, simultaneous user licenses and server licenses are also required.
The simultaneous user license for 10 users adds an additional $2,000; 100 users adds $5,000 and 1,000 users adds $16,000. The server license for a single server is $1000.00 and for ten servers it is $4,000.
