Fall Auto Rally 2001

What more can be said that I already didn't say in my article about the 2001 Firehawk, but the Firehawk still remains one of my favorite affordable high performance vehicles. It can almost do the national speed limit in first gear and can idle down the interstate in sixth -- a fun ride.

From the side,

or the rear, the Firehawk is an awesome American car. I am very sad that it is the final year we will see this vehicle -- what could GM have been thinking by virtually handing the affordable American high performance market to Ford and their Mustang? True, the Corvette still exists, but GM also eliminated the Camaro as well. These are two names that have an extremely high name recognition level and a great history -- since their introduction in the sixties. But time marches on and corporations make decisions based solely on the bottom line -- oh well!

An impressive car that I will truly miss -- good-bye my friend.
