Today, the Escalade, the first luxury SUV in Cadillac's 96-year history, makes its national television advertising debut at the Super Bowl in Miami, Florida. Along with this on-screen promotion, Cadillac is supplying a fleet of fifteen 1999 Escalades for use by visiting celebrities such as supermodel Niki Taylor, MTV-stars Daisy Fuentes and Carmen Electra, legal reporter Star Jones and Super Bowl half-time act Big Bad Voodoo Daddy to use as transportation to hotels, restaurants and other VIP events.
Cadillac also partnered with several South Florida's hotels (Delano, Loews and Raleigh) and some trendy restaurants (Tantra, Joia, Larios, News Cafe, Red Square and China Grill) to let guests have either a chauffeured ride or a test drive, with a red carpet welcome and special parking privileges upon arrival at their destination.
This was a great event. Cadillac really knows how to throw a party. I remember a similar event back in `76 when they let American Express members test drive the new Seville for 3 days!
