While the Neocon `99 Show at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago, Illinois deals mostly with interior design concepts and furniture for homes and offices, Steelcase used a customized Volkswagen Beetle to show off their design skills and to gain attendee interest. This vehicle matches Steelcase office furniture and it demonstrates that their design team could create virtually any corporate office interior, if they could work on an object this complex.
